Default GPS for tracking car if stolen

Looking for any input. I've done some research but just looking for a little more info.*Wanting something that I won't have to charge, that I can tie into the*battery. If the*battery*is unhooked it will still work until internalbattery*dies. Wanting direct location of the tracker and it must be small enough to hide. I'm currently building a*car*so the option of hiding it is endless. Just looking for anyone with personal experience or some input

I have one installed the "EBAY" one, with built in battery. Been 3 years no problem. The main unit just little bigger than soap box, and the gps receiver 1/4 size of gps receiver you see on factory installed gps on most newer car. I use T-mobile service $5/month for unlimited txt msg, cause that thing rely on txt msg to communicate with your phone. I didn't connect it to a siren, cause that just gonna alarm the thief that the car have alarm and might come back later with more equipment. So just notification to my cellphone, what going on, and I can listen if it's really somebody in there or just a diesel truck pass by trip the alarm. And had the quick release with hub lock, I'm pretty sure the only way the car can go away is by tow truck. Love the off switch by txt msg and speed limit fuel cut, so my friend cannot speeding with my car.
