clifford alarm question about valet, uninstall etc.
So recently my battery died on my car, right before I was about to take the old battery out I had to get in the car to get something out. Well as I got into the car, even with the battery dead. The alarm just starts going crazy. Hit the button sequence on my remote the way i'm supposed to disarm it, still wouldn't disarm and then finally it decided to disarm out of nowhere. All while waking my neighbors haha.
So my dilemma is I didn't realize that my valet switch is gone. Part of that being my fault since I had to replace the dash piece that's underneath my steering wheel. And since I live in a gated community so to speak, I could leave my windows down, doors unlocked and nobody would bother my car whatsoever. Same goes for work. I honestly never armed my alarm. And on that same note I don't have a valet switch anymore.
I really don't want to uninstall my alarm, but as of now it constantly arms itself to full blown anti theft mode...basically locks the car as soon as I get out. If I get back in (windows down) without using the remote the car will not start unless I hit the code that's needed on the remote itself to make it turn over. This is all fine and everything especially when i'm out in public but my biggest worry is when my remote dies i'll be **** out of luck lol....
So how do I go about getting a new valet switch? Or can I rig up my own with a switch from Autozone/Advance etc..? And if not and if i'm completely **** out of luck, how do I go about uninstalling my clifford alarm system? I'd rather not go that route, because I like knowing my car is pretty good on being anti theft like....especially since recently I started to clean it up, making it somewhat nice to look at.....but I also don't want to be stranded out of nowhere....any suggestions?
Any help is appreciated.

Re: clifford alarm question about valet, uninstall etc.
Been out of installing for many years but most alarms just have a simple push or toggle switch, "normally open" meaning it closes/connects when pushed. Most times switch to ground. Almost any style will work. If it's a button should be push to close, NO= normally open SPST momentary type any current=amps=I and voltage=V over 15. Switch/button should be hidden for max security. That's your call.
If you have a Radio Shack that still stocks small parts they might have small ones. Also check online.

Is your Clifford alarm have remote start? If so, the valet button is not the same as other models. What's the model you have?
