Civic radio has lots of static

Icon2 Civic radio has lots of static
2002 Honda Civic coupe LX. The longer I drive the more static on the radio. The static is actually reduced if the head lights are on and even better if the fan is on. Do I have a bad connection or some kind of wiring problem? Will some kind of static filter solve this?

My gf 96 ex does the same thing. When headlights are on signal is $hit. I don't know wth the problem is..

It is a stock Am/fM casette. The static usualy gets worse the longer the radio is on.
