Default Audio Guys - What's going on with my deck???

So after changing my boost gauge setup, blowing a fuse for my accessory lights in the process, all of a sudden my deck started doing this this morning. When I start the car, it will just flash red then off. Then red then off. Then after about 30 seconds of doing this, it will flash red and display the time, then off. That goes on for 30 seconds, then it tries to display my welcome message for about 30 seconds getting interrupted with it shutting off. Then all of a sudden it works. If I stop the car and start it again, it starts all over again. I checked the fuse in the radio, it seems fine, but if it was a fuse, wouldn't the radio be not working at all? I need to know where to begin...

Here's some useless videos so you get the jist of what's going on... just uploaded straight from my phone, sorry if they're long and repetitive

The deck is a Blaupunkt Key West. Thanks for any help, guys.

Is there a short somewhere in your car? My old deck did something like, blinked for a while then stopped.

When I took apart the wing on my integra and really didn't clean up after the wire harness for the lights on the wing. Removed the entire wing harness/wires completely instead of just leaving it in my trunk and that solved it for me. My fuses were also intact.

Someone help this man out!

Just looked and the wiring seems to be fine going to the deck. The weird thing to me is, after it goes through it's "seizure" period of turning off and on, it will eventually stop and work fine. What's going on?

What's the make and model of your unit? It may not be getting enough current. I've see this with in dash LCD units before. Do you have your gauges power hooked up to the same power as your stereo? If so unhook them and try it again.

It is a Blaupunkt Key West. Someone else told me it looks like inconsistent current as well. It did start doing this after I blew a fuse to my cluster. I took apart my dash panel to check out my wiring and it's so much of a cluster[freak] I can't tell what is going where.

I'd rather not, but I think I may leave this one to the professionals...

Look at the CD harness and see if the yellow power wire goes anywhere else. Should be pretty simple. You can also contact wrx-killer-Sti-eater or suspendedHatch, there both in Cali and I'm sure would charge very reasonable hourly shop rates. Electrical problems are often overcharged by shops
