Default 5901 brain gone bad?

I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot an alarm system so i'll ask you folks.
I have a 5901 that has developed 2 problems.
the first problem is the Aux output quit working. I have a trunk pop solenoid that's relay driven by the the aux output. I tried moving it from the main aux (red/white) to one of the other 4 aux outputs. I can't trigger the relay at all with the alarm on any aux out i've tried.
I have tested everything up to the alarm. everything is good except the alarm it seems.
The 2nd problem is the au94t has started to give me false alarms. It started to happen only when the car was getting warm. Like it would work great at night or on cold days but when morning came or it started to warm up it would begin going off. Now it happens randomly.
I have tried 2 au94t sensors. My setup is a 506t and the au94 connected to the MUX port with a supplied Y cable. I have narrowed it down to the au94t by unplugging each sensor and checking to see if the alarm gives a false with either disconnected. everything is fine with both disconnected or just the glass break connected. When i use the au94 it false randomly and often.
I just orders a 508d and will try it using the 508d to see if it also gives falses like this. I am wondering if there is something with the alarm brain that's at fault. Is there anything else i can do to try to eliminate the false positives or further troubleshoot?
