That is odd your interior is grey without armrest. My old sir-s was black interior with armrest and factory momo wheel. I didn't realize Honda had the different options. Very neat! Good luck with your build, its nice to see someone keeping the factory b16!!!!

Clean work!! Aircraft stripper I assume? Bad part of using any kind of paint stripper is that any residue or anything can cause fish eye. I've had a few lessons learned with it, now I just prefer the good ol' fashon sanding it down to bare metal.

just been through the whole build, great work! love the attention to detail and the upgrades, cant wait to see what color its going. Personally id keep it the same color but have you checked out the granada black from honda? My sir-s is granada black and i love it.
Looks like your finding parts easily enough for the car, have you ever come across the door handles with the sensors in to buy?? i doubt honda still make them and i need a replacement

The black does look really nice, I'm just not one for owning a black car. I'm far to **** when it comes to paint swirls and maintenance that comes with owning a black car.
On another note, I've got the bolts and brackets, ect installed on the engine.
Had some time to put the brackets and new bolts on the engine.
More coming soon, I want this damn car finished!!

Big update! Kinda... The car has some color on it! My painter texted me these pics so excuse the quality, I'll have better pics really soon.
So there it is! Milano red! It's not anything crazy but it's one of my favorite colors of all time and since it is a factory SiR-S color it just seemed to be the choice for me. Green is cool... but I like Red way more.

Re: My JDM EG6 Civic SiR-S Restoration / Build
Small update for the weekend.
Started cleaning up a few other things for the bay.
I have this plastic dye/restorer stuff that basically turns anything old and faded back to almost new. As long as it doesn't sit out in the sun or get chemicals on it, it will stay black and deep for a long time.
Cleaned up my PS pump and got it back on the motor.
My steering rack was in pretty rough shape. So much sludge and grim on it from 20 years of use.
Finally got all of my parts in from Honda for the sterring rack. A good cleaning, fresh coat of paint and it's on point.
My heater valve was also in terrible shape.
You can see where the brake fluid had leaked down to the bracket.
A bit of scrubbing, semi-gloss paint, a new hose and recondition clamps and it's looking better than new!
My camera makes it look like the paint is orange... no flash with a point in shoot, just doesn't do it justic.
We put the subframe back on so the car can be rolled into the paint booth this evening. I'm going to take it all back off once I get the car back and finish coating the wells.
This is a picture I took with my phone, you can see how it looks like a much deeper red. I threw a wheel on for good measure. They will be repainted this weekend as well so it's all coming together!
Thanks for looking!

Authentic milano red eg6 ftmfw!!!!!!! I love it man. The attention to detail is just awesome and R-81 is imo the greatest oem color ever.
