Default 96 GSR-T's Build Thread, Turbo DC2-JDM Conv-Shave/Tuck etc

Whats up I am bored so I decided to finally make one of these threads, I have owned this car for a long time and it has been boosted for the better part of 7 years. This car is a true street car and is being designed to hunt down 1000+cc Bikes and show them the business.

Last setup was simple and effective

Golden Eagle Sleeved 81.5mm
Wiseco Pistons (8.2:1)
Crower Pro-Billet Rods (7yrs old now)
Polished GSR Crank
ACL Bearings
Moroso Ex. Sump

All Ferrea Valvetrain
GSR Cams
FR Cam Gears
Stock Ignition
Custom Catch Can w/ -12 Lines
Neukin Ranhorm
Ball Bearing T3/T67ho
Tial 44mm WG/ Tial 50mm BOV
VictorX IM
BBK 70mm
Backdoor Precision 750 Intercooler
3" Charge Pipes
3" DP/Thermal Ex
Neptune RTP w/ Boost by Gear

RC 1000cc
AEM Fuel Rail & Regulator
Twin 255hp's
-8 Feed -6 Return

B16 1-4th GSR 5th
Gearspeed Carbon Syncro's
Quaife LSD
ACT XTR6 w/ Streetlite Flywheel

This setup made 585whp and 385tq on Jeff Evans Dynapack at 21 creeping to 23psi using E70 Ethanol..... at 16psi creeping to 20psi the car went 11.01 @ 137 on its first pass on a frozen cold 33degree December Day on a non prepped track, needless to say it had a mid 10 at 140+ in it at 22-23psi.

Partial vid of the 11.01 pass

and the timeslip

Some tire ownage vids

http://s43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...gmoreboost.flv

or www.youtube.com/turbogsr96 rate my vids!

So this brings us to my never ending desire to change things and go faster, so I just recently pulled the motor which was running perfectly and only had 3,000 miles on it to build it to the point that it is nearly bulletproof, it needs to survive happily at 40psi. I am looking to make 900whp but I know I wont even get close to that without a gearset.

Do these look like pistons running over 500whp constantly? Only a fool or a lunatic would tear this engine down.... oh well

Thats the Evan's-tuning magic right there I will be going back to him again, I always feel he will do whats best for me.

So I am going to jump into whats going to be new with the car

JDM B18C 84mm O-Ring'd
Benson's LS Crank
Coated Arias Pistons 11:1 w/ Upgraded Pins
Manley Turbo Tuff's
Coated ACL Race Bearings
Modified OEM Oil Pump
Moroso Oil Pan

Fresh B16 Head
Full CNC Port
Same Ferrea Valvetrain w/ .5mm OS Super Alloy Valves
OEM Headgasket
SK2 Pro-1 Cams
COP/AEM EPM
Possibly having my VictorX ExtrudeHoned or modified

Full-Race Divided T4 Topmount
Billet 6768 1.15ar
4" Downpipe
ID2000's
Sumped Tank w/ Twin 044's
Weldon FPR
Full Blown Annodized Purple Fuel Rail
Twin Tial 38mm MVS Wastegates in Purple
24x12x4.5 Core
AEM EMS
Comp Twin Disc
DSS 5.9's
I want a Gearbox!!!
Aluminum Airbox
8.50 Cage
Kirkey Drags

And for the nitty gritty

Shaving the engine bay
JDM Conversion using non-HID Blackhousing Headlights and a Jojo JDM Front End
Painting the car
Carbon Hood
Carbon Trunk
Carbon Roof Cap
98-01 Rear Bumper
and some other stuff I still have not decided on.........

Here are some pics of the car from last summer......

Here is how she sits now, stripped all to hell.... I made the 11.01 pass brought her home and started taking her apart.

I will update as changes occur, not much going on right now saving money.

Haha you are absolutely correct, I loved it when an STi or some other tard would laugh when I dropped a gear next to them, then 2 gears later I am 2 tractor trailers ahead of them.

The best part is when they pull back up (when they do) and ask what the hell kind of fuel I was running because it smells crazy..... I would normally laugh and say I dont know want to run again so you can get another whiff out of the tailpipe....haha

My friend who I got the car from talked me into sanding it down to shave the mouldings a few years ago, he helped for a day or so and then he was done, did it all by hand with a small sanding block and I knew in the back of my mind once the car got tuned I would have no motivation to spend 2500 on a paint job when I would probably be breaking parts and/or trying to go faster, now I am forcing myseld to paint before the motor goes back in. Hopefully if it stops raining I will be able to get my normal summer long 60hr weeks and get this car done by Christmas.

I just found a 95 GSR for sale locally and I need a new daily (my SUV gets 13mpg and I have a 100mile round trip daily commute) with a JDM Front, so this might be a detour in my goals..... I would rather build up the 95 due to it being OBD1 I dont have to swap everything to go through inspection.

Jeff Evans is about an hour and a half north west of Philadelphia, I have a thread in the marketplace but most of the stuff has already sold or is pending.

Recognize the car from team-integra. I thought 425whp was pretty damn fast in my buddies turbo Integra. Your car must be scary fast at that power level.

I just remembered I made this thread, not too much to update the economy has slammed me hard and I have been out of work for 14mo. I managed along the way to sell most of my stuff I had left over and sent a B18c out to GE for some love, 84mm with Coated Arias Pistons and upgraded pins, I have a Bensons LS Crank to throw up in there too. Did a JDM Conversion, Shaved the Bay and did the Cage all while on Delaware's 300 a week unemployment so I guess my progress is better than nothing...lol Enough bs`in on to a few pics.

a few more shots of the bay, its still not done yet I have to finish the circles in the firewall and a few other touch-ups but I dont think I did that bad for someone that learned how to weld in this engine bay and I never used filler before either lol.

Its not really being "built" right now, I just spent what I made from selling the other stuff off and did a **** ton of labor on it. I wish I had a 20k credit card and a stable job I am the kind of guy that would have UPS and Fed Ex trucks lined up in front of my house with parts and I would bang this build out in a month lol. I actually made more money on my USDM front than what I spent for the JDM so I lucked out there. I worked in my friends welding shop hr for hr for him weld the cage in so I lucked out there too. It never should of came to this I had it all planned out and then there went my income right after I tore the car down... its been so long im not even anxious anymore it will come together when it does... and hopefully be well worth the wait.
