Suggestions for removing a crank pulley
So my buddy just finished swapping his 98 civics D16 after he blew it and the "new" motor has a leaky seal near the oil pump. To get to it we need to remove the crank pulley/harmonic balancer and from what im reading this usually takes a ton of torque. We only have acces to a dorm parking lot without power so an air impact is out of the question and only have basic tools (socket & wrench set, jack and jack stands, 1/2 inch breaker bar, torque wench, basic toolbox stuff). What would be the most cost effective method of getting it off? hes willing to spend a little on tools to do this but trying to be as efficient as possible. What do you think is the best way to remove the pulley in our situation?

honda crank pulley tool, some auto part stores will rent/loan it out to you, and a couple breaker bars will get it crack loose. The crank tool will stop the crank from turning, you can add a breaker bar to it so it can nudge up to the control arm, and use a 1/2" breaker bar with a 19mm socket to crack the bolt free.
