recomendations for b16a road race engine build specs.
we are looking at dropping down from our 2.0l class to the 0 to 1600 class.
engine will be going in a well prepared eg chassis with a cr gearset and lsd.
having never built or raced a b16a we are looking for recomendations
rules allow a 50cc oversize so we can go out to 1650 if the std sleeves will handle it .
we must run wet sump and we do not want to run quads due to cost .
tuning will be by link programmable ecu http://www.linkecu.com/
we will need over 200hp at the flywheel to be on the pace
we have std b16a engine
type r head std.
type r inlet manifold and t/body
rage header
various cams from our b18c development programme
interested in comments from people that have had experienece with the b16a in road race applications

I'm pretty sure that with a 0.5mm overbore piston, you can only attain 1615ccs. I don't believe you can safely run anything bigger on the stock sleeve.
However, I'm pretty sure Toda makes a set of pistons that are 82mm and that bumps you up to 1635. I figure Toda believes 82mm is still deemed "safe."
What are the rules pertaining cams, valves etc? Some rules in Honda challenge for example do not permit the use of an aftermarket valve.
Take a look at this thread where they managed to get 200whp or roughly 220bhp.
