Default Post your D series N/A build.

Looking at building a D16Z6 for my EF, wonder about other's set-ups and what kind of power they put down. I'm looking at a Z6 block, A1 pistons, and Y8 head gasket which would be 14.5:1 compression according to the calculator i was looking at. Is this going to cause any clearance issues with the valves?

Nice set-up, i'm wondering if 14:1 compression would even be doable on pump gas as well, i highly doubt it.

14:1 u'd probably hit a valve
diffantly have to clay the motor

i would aim for something more streetable like 11-12 cpr

Yeah, i figure it's pushing it, 13.6 can be done from the P29 pistons alone, i'd have to buy a D15B7/D16A6 head gasket to get it down to 13.1. Opinions on 13.1:1? P29 pistons are dirt cheap on eBay, that's why i'm wanting them so much.

Damn high compression.

Looks like i should have no clearance issues if i use a cam with 14:1 compression.

Is anyone running a D16Z6 with P29 pistons?
