Default Obd1 block in obd2 Gsr?

I'm sure this has been covered a million times but looking for a quick answer. Haven't found anything specific. Have a 99 Gsr all motor build with original motor. Li g story short block is in need of a rebuild. I have a spare rebuilt obd1 Gsr block. Can it be swapped right in to the obd2 head? Running Hidatsa s300 on chipped p28. Have s2000 oil pump and built head. I'm only concerned about the compatibility issues. I'm running the skunk2 pro 1s and am assuming I will be able to run them on a stock block with a retune, correct?

Thanks for your help!

Still a lot for a stock engine. Even with a Pro1

Why?

Maybe not for bone stock with stock air filter, stock IM, stock exhaust manifold, cat, and stock exhaust; it's not going to be as free-breathing. But still better, right? But if it has all the bolt-on goodies, it gonna rock, y0.

Sorry, thought the thundercats, here, already helped you. :sigh:

Yes you can. The blocks are identical. You only need to use the OBDII oil pump and attached crank pickup and timing belt cover. See below for pic of oil pump with the CK sensor.
