Re: My LS-Vtec Build
Well I got buddyclub adjustable cam gears, skunk2 pro series intake mani, skunk2 68mm throttlebody, il4 81.5mm pr3 slugs, eagle rods, then il4 valve springs/retainers/and valves.
Ill ditch the eagle rods for some shot peened ls rods.
And cams, probs skunk2 pro2's or someone suggested I take a look at rocket cams..

Well I ditched the 81.5 pr3's I bought for some 81.5 cp's 11:1. And I also picked up some skunk2 pro2's. Still gotta figure out bearing size and then a few other small things and it's go time!

Also bought a valve spring tool and I swapped out the old crap for the supertech valves and il4 springs and titanium retainers =]

Re: My LS-Vtec Build
Almost there man! Just need to properly degree the cams, redo the lash, then it'll be off for a tune!
I did get a new basemap tho! The chip rywire sent me, the map they gave me from my specs, was just dumping waaaaay too much fuel. So I ordered a new basemap from Xenocron. Tossed theirs in, BIG improvement in the way it runs.
No joke, the fuel consumption on the first chip.. I had a half tank before I installed the motor. After about 2 hours accumulative run time, it was on E!

No the cams aren't degrees yet, but they're not zeroed out either.
As for cleaning the block, I used the gunk engine degreaser, the foam and the gel. Let that **** sit, then went at it with a wire brush. Used a file on some spots where there were bumps and random pieces or metal hangin off lol. Last was the paint
