Man, did I fail on this post.

102mm Billet crank, Darton MID 90mm sleeves, Aries 15/1 pistons, GRP AL rods, Web Cams .516"/260* cams, Kinsler 60mm ITB's, ID 2200cc fuel injectors (intended for methanol), TCR header.

IMO, there is a lot of miss-matched parts on this set-up that could be changed to make more power. I honestly feel that based on it's displacement, it is less than impressive. I thought it might make more power, but I feel that I did so many thing wrong on this build. I would change the portwork, to flow a bit better (315cfm @.500"), Larger cams to work with this compression. Smaller diameter ITBS... just for starters. We also used ID 2200cc injectors, which were not the best for this application. I had originally intended to switch to methanol, but instead we tuned on VP Q16. The smaller ID 1000cc injectors would have made more power due to the better atomization they provide over the 2200cc's. I have a few more ideas, but it was kind of a slapped together engine. It did pretty good though so I am not totally unhappy, just need to make the changes happen because there is definately more HP to make with the H22.

Honestly, I have been using AL rods in a lot of engines I have built for years now. I have yet to have to replace a set. I will say that the engines with a few exceptions are track engines only. The 5 street engines have around 15k to 22k on them so far. The manufacturer told me to start checking them at 35K and replace as needed. There is a means to check hardness, but I haven't done that yet.

damn man you always make great power on the H's. Congrats on it. Have you decided to maybe go with a street chassis and maybe bring it to the shootout in the east coast. Would be cool to have all the H power guys in one place?

Awesome build but I thought the ID 2000's were not compatible with Q16?

Josh, who works for me made the original design, but a fabricator welded it up and it warped so it leaks real bad. We are working on a replacement and a possible production run.

I have this chasis, and a lot of money into it, so it is really hard for me to buy a new chasis and re-develope the car. IF I could afford to make the switch, I would. I don't have the budget to get out to the east coast to race. the economy has hit my business really hard. I wish I could though.

They aren't. This was done on a very temporary (accidental) basis. They will be changed out in a couple days. I expect to pick up some power as well.

Figured you were aware of this but thought I would point it out for anyone else reading it that wasn't.

Looking forward to seeing the results as you refine the setup. Sticking with Q16 or going to change up the fuel?
