i think your going to need some arp head bolts, those gsr head bolts are not going to last to long

Considering its a stock block and head I don't think he will have a problem with the stock head bolts

Edit: missed the part about boost. Yeah I'd get some nice head studs

Agreed. I am running stock GSR head bolts on my LS Vtec and no issues, torqued 5lbs over stock. This setup has been running strong for over a year now. Planning on boosting it and shooting for 280-300whp with no plans to put in ARP head studs. When I build the block sitting in my garage for 400whp ARP studs will be going in that.
Many have boosted 100% stock B16 and GSR motors with 250-300whp with no head bolt issues.

have a set of 81mm itrs but had to get the block bored so i unsure of what to use for piston choice now itr, p30s, or pr3 any advice would be great

lokking for 200 whp for my setup and its going in a 95 ej1 coupe

Yes the GSR gears will go in a LS case, they are the same. The GSR gearing will be a lot better than the LS as well.

has anyone bought "p30" pistons from password jdm before? apparently it's sold with the item description claming it to be "p30", but when i received the package it said pr3 on the pistons... FAIL.

In 2 months i am putting in Skunk2 Pro2 cams and supertech valvetrain. (hoping for 215-225).



motor chokes out up top. most likely too high of CR for the itr cams, also may have to do with my header.

If u get cams u can only be restricted to 195-205hp.itr pistons comp wont cut it

they are not regular ITR pistons. they are CP's 11.5:1 compression in a type r. but my motor has 12:1 compression.
you do not think 12:1 is high enough for 215-225 with pro2's?

as in, would it work well, won't cause damage to the motor
