They appear to be in great shape and the guy I bought them from said he just had them cleaned and tested when he bought them. I can't prove that but judging by how clean they look on the outside, I'll take my chances.

On another note, I just stripped one of the allen head bolts on my S2 tuner cam gears. I dont like the idea of running only 5 bolts on one of my cam gears. Plus I figure if one stripped then the others are probably going to start doing the same thing. So I'm now in the market for a new set of cam gears. It sucks bc I have to redo the tension on the belts.

I just tried to install my distributor and its sitting crooked on the head when I try to bolt it down. I tried turning it 180 to see if that was the problem but that didn't help. Its only off by a millimeter or two but something just doesn't fit right. I just put the head on the motor and everything else fit great. Any ideas what the problem may be? I'm hoping it's something stupid and not something thats going to set me back again.

Finally had my car tuned by Jeff Evans on saturday 12/10. It did 220 and I'm pretty happy with it for not touching anything on the bottom end. The powerband is nice and smooth. If anyone is considering going to Evans Tuning for their tune I highly recommend it. I'll post a scan of my dyno graph here as soon as I figure out how to use my Kodak AIO.

I never saw that kind of power band on stock block and S2P2... Never by my eyes
For comparison heres my Stock H22 + Pro2 sheet from last year.

Bump as your thread has been very interesting from the get-go.

I have recently acquired two motors myself (a race-prepped H22 and a stock motor) i like what you did with your motor and would love to do something similar in an EG body.

Looks good. My H22 made 195 whp /165 wtq with a header, restrictive intake and exhaust, and tuning of course.

Cool...those are decent numbers for mild mods. I see you live in PA. How far are you from 17745? I'm halfway between Williamsport and State College.
