Default intake manifold help!

hey guys im in need of some help for a new manifold, i have my stock itr port matched to 70mm but im not 100% sure if im lacking HP so far the car is dynoed to 200whp. this is what i got

97' spec TYPE-R (stock block)
b16a head port n polished
full supertech valvetrain
skunk2 stage2 camshafts
stock itr manifold port matched 70mm
70mm throttle body
440rc injectors
255lph walbro fuel pump
pressure regulator and rail
new fuel filter
aem 3in' cold air intake
hytech tri-y header with 2.5in piping all the way
tuned on a p28 with hondata s100

my tuner told me to look into using a 120 shot of nos and im considereing it against turbo cars.. he recommended a Victor X for my build and have it port matched 70mm but im looking for other opinions.. im also losing some mid-range power due to the stock cam gears.. but any advice would be great.. thanks!

Power wise it sounds about right without seeing a graph. As far as intake manifold goes your itr should be getting the job done. If you want to upgrade manifolds look into the performer x instead of victor x. Victor x more towards a turbo/huge all motor setups

it has ports already set for the jets. But 120 shot is quite alot..

If it were me, id start with a 50/75 first..

My concern is your tuner told you to get a victor. the victor is designed for flow from 8-11k rpms. If your not revving that high, then its useless.. makes me question the integrity of your choice of tuner. And a 120 shot on a stock block is rather extreme.

but its your ride, do what u like.

EDIT: Id like to look at the dyno sheet to see what the curve looks like to double check this "tuner"

If you go over 100 shot without propane don't expect the motor to last long, mainly the ring landings.

You have a few options and the Vx should not be one of them.
A Skunk2 Pro will help a little bit over the stock ITR you have, but this manifold has been beaten many times by the Px.
The Px out of the box is your best option. Easily gain 10whp on the top end. More gains with better injectors, Bosch or Denso.
Option #3 is the Kingmotorsports Px, custom made with shorter runners than a stock Px. Pricey but another very good option for your set-up.

numbers seem low to me but then again all dyno's tell a different tale

i made 199.7whp and 134tq on a stock jdm itr engine w/s2s1's

-aem cai w/vlocity stack
-narrow header
-70mm tb
-ported itr intake manifold "was cut open and ported..its been a while but i believe the company was called import builders" who did the work on the intake manifold

^note: its been a while but i believe it was 70mm intake side, then matched at 65mm to 65mm from the inside of tb to the inside of the intake manifold

-2.5" exhaust
-hondata s200

there's more parts but not parts that would change the hp/tq

Id imagine you should be making more power with valvetrain upgrades and larger cams. In for updates and info

can we see a graph?

A Stock Px has beaten the IB ITR manifold before.
Please look at this link. All your questions should be answered here.

Yea ive seen that thread, dyno results look good but to me making 199whp on a stock itr engine is already at its limit without touching the head or bottom end....ive seen very few stock itr engine setups make these numbers unless its on a known high reading dyno. I went from 174whp tuned to 199whp tuned on the same dyno only changing the intake and intake manifold/tb. Ill also mention that 199whp pull was after back to back dyno pulls and the car was running hot and becoming heat soaked "was after midnight at that point so time wasnt on our side".

Id be curious to swap intake manifolds and test but time on a dyno is money. To the OP, can we see a dyno graph? Perhaps try out the perfX manifold and re-dyno at the same dyno for comparison. For the price it sounds like good bang for the buck. How high was it rev'd out to?

All good read's and info!

when i first had my car dynoed wit the itr swap was 188.9whp open header.. only bolt ons wer.. 70mm tb and cold air intake on s100

now i had tuned semi built at 199.7whp but i specifically told him i wanted a safe tune because that was my daily driver.. i can redline safely at 9300rpm
