Default Injector size for E85

I'm thinking of playing with E85 but not sure what size injectors to look at. I was told to look for 1000CC ones but i'm not boosted and don't want to be boosted
I'm thinking i need 550 or 600 would be fine given that stock is 240 and i'll be turning the FPR to 55 Psi.
Any info would be great.

How much power are you trying to make? People will suggest 1000cc because it will give you room to grow, they are relatively the same price, and they will work..

Do you know how much power your making now? What is your power goal? what tuning solution are you or you plan on using?
Answer those and youll at least have a baseline to go with, 1000CC is alot of room to grow but ultimately pointless to spend the extra cash on if your not going to exceed maybe 50% injector duty cycle, just buy a quality set thats 15-20% larger then what you need so youll have all the growing room you need

Great point some of those smaller injectors are not able to support E85 fuel depending what brand and flow rate.

1000cc injectors are widely used in F.I and N.A aplications. I.D 1000cc injectors are known to even idle better then those other brand/size injectors.

Your tuner will easilly setup the ecu for those injectors.

If you want a good deal on these i have a set of really low mile I.D 1000cc injectors i just put up for sale in F.I classifieds lmk.

I suggest nothing smaller than 1000's for anyone who wants to go E85 and plans on adding later on. I just did it and its something I know I'll never have to worry about again.

I have the ID 725 on E85. I wouldn't go smaller. Would have gotten 1000's but price was too good to pass up.

Use lucas oil ethanol treatment. It's like "fuel lube". Protects against the issues ethanol causes from sitting.

I'm assuming that's the same concept behind some people reccomending running a few gallons of gas through your build of you run just E85 every few thousand miles to help with keeping fuel system pants and valve seats lubricated since E85 is a very dry running fuel.
