Icon6 injector problems

i posted in ef thread but no one seemed to help
90 crx dx jdm b18b converted to obd1 injectors are still obd0 (still have resistor box)
i did a wire tuck and fixed the half a$$ mpfi swap
now when i start my car is idles funny and simply doesnt run right.

smokes when you give it alot of gas
you can smell fuel real strong in the bay (no leaks)
its throwing code 16 (fuel injectors)

the only thing i can think of is something is grounding our the injectors and is constantly spraying fuel

anyone every had this problem?

thanks ahead for the help

What are you tuning it with? Getting your AFR's measured would be the fastest way to figure out where you stand. Also would recommend pulling your spark plugs and check to make sure none of them are covered in fuel (as in one of the cylinders isn't firing).
