Default I wish I could play the HP game

So I have a JDM B18 Type-R engine. As I understand it, this is the highest HP stock B engine Honda put in to production. It's stock except for Hondata electronics...if that gives more HP then I guess it's not completely stock.

I wish I could throw money at the engine and parts but I can hardly use what I have. The engine sits in a Knightsbridge Mini. At 1560 lbs and 215/50-13 tires...more HP just goes up in smoke.

The problem I have is tires....finding 13 inch tires is almost impossible I may end up with 225/40-14 Toyo Proxies. Oh my god do those things cost a ton! $175.00 each! Not to mention I need to buy new rims. The Sumitomo's I have were $55.00 bucks!

So I guess my motor money turns to rubber.

Not sure what you are exactly after based on your post, but if you are open to feedback I would say change gearing/final drive in your tranny. You could probably benefit a lot from that.

Well at a curb weight of 1,560 lbs I think your power to weight ratio is pretty nice. I am not sure what you speak of hondata for. Have you looked into a simple bolt-on plan? As in header/exhaust/and intake? I am sure you had to custom fabricate the exhaust and intake already as it is though. And yeah 13's with that power and so little weight, won't go in your favor. It is not too expensive to throw some bolt on's on the swap brother. And why go with such pricey tires on this project? I am taking you will be driving the car on a circuit? That would be the only possible reason I would figure you spend so much per tire...Let us know what your goals are then we can go from there.

with the right intake and exhaust you can smooth the powerband out. you can gain more area under the torque curve without increasing peak torque and thus you will be faster without effecting traction overly
