hondata s100?
does anyone know if the s100 version is still on the market and if its worthy of putting on my car? i see on hondata's site the s200 is discontinued. i am really on a budget and dont feel like spending the $550 on the s300 unless i have no other choice. i figured for an NA daily driver the S100 would be suitable, that is if its still around.

Re: hondata s100?
thats what im wondering. will i not get as well as a tune when compared to a s300? im sure what ever tuner i go through he wont be able to tune my car with the s100 as well as he could with the s300. or better yet will i be able to find a tuner who still does s100 programing? i was thinking of going to church automotive or inline-four to have my car tuned.

Re: hondata s100?
The s100 systems are capable of making the same power on an engine as a S300 in most cases. The S100 has a more complex ROM burning process which the S300 eliminates. The S300 also has some nice features that are important in more complex builds, or more useful to some tuners and users. Best way to describe it is like going from windows 98 to windows 2000. They both work, you can just do a little more with the 2000, supposedly a little easier. I would also recomend Church's or I-4 for tuning.

Re: hondata s100?
yeah thats why i want to buy one. im almost done getting all my parts together for my build and ready to have the block and head sent off. since im on a budget i wanted to break the motor in on a tuned computer like the s100 until i can afford the cams, cam gears and s300. plus im not sure weather i can use S2 p2's ( i really want to) yet with my pistons(11.5:1 wiseco) while using a .030" head gasket i already bought and i havent even had the head or block checked out for warping. hopefully i can still use this head gasket, because its a custom 89mm. i should of waited until i had the head and block sent out

Re: hondata s100?
Interesting...my Hondata dealer here said it was discontinued along with the S200 which was one reason for me upgrading to the S300. I just looked at their website and saw that the S100 is still available.
