Fuel pressure reg location?

What is the best location to mount a fuel pressure regulator? I have seen them mounted directly to the fuel rail on some systems.

Does it get mounted on the inlet or exit of the rail?

exit side. If your looking in your engine bay its on the right, of the fuel rail.

there are fpr that get mounted off the rails too
