CNC'd adaptor plate complete, also by Jim Galto of greracing.com who did my head as well. This should work at least as well as AFACCORD's setup. The ports on my head were already widened so the transition from manifold to head is less extreme and the adaptor was perfectly shaped.

if you hae a good tuner i wouldn't go under 12 points of compression.
who long did you wait for the rods?

not under 12 points eh? 11+ for sure. Rods took like 6 weeks or so. as far as any venturi effect, it was made simply to blend the mismatched ports together, it may have that effect but not by intentional design. Jim at greracing.com is a total badass and CNC'd this for me. I can't recommend him enough.

I woudn't waste my time digitizing a 300cfm port on that head if it is going to cost you a bunch of money to have him do it. Keep working at it...there is a lot more to be found.

no digitizing, but i don't think there's more to be found with these small d shape ports. this is a lot of flow AND velocity

Dude, I am building my F23 NA as well. Some few questions. What pistons did you use again? Which brand? and what was the measurement? What about the camshaft? any performance camshaft for SOHC f23? What was the final CR?

Wiseco Flat-top 86.5 (.5mm over) and Bisimoto custom grind cam to match flowbench test on my head. That's the BEST WAY TO GO. There are other options, if you just want a general purpose cam I've got a Crower regrind F23 cam for sale with more moderate lift and duration. It depends on what you what your goal is I guess. There is no final CR yet as it hasn't been built. I may have some quench pads welded on the head so CR will be bumped a bit. Most likely going to fall around 11.5:1 CR. If I could do it all over again, I'd most likely do a much more simple build, but now I'm in too deep to get out.

Well, my purpose is definitely a daily driven car, taking out as max as i can from f23 with unleaded95. It has been ported and polished. did something to the head (dont really know the term for it), where the guy took out around 15mm, thus increase the CR from 9.3(stock) to 10(now). Unichip, 4-2-1 custom header, free flow exhaust, bigger pipping, racing air intake, iridium plugs, power cable, modified cam gear, did something to the valve springs too, and some minor adjustments. It is somewhere around 220+hp right now. And since the engine hasn't been assembled, was thinking of changing the cam and the pistons.

Wisecos pistons kinda expensive aint they? I was thinking of using H22a4's pistons with 87mm (+1mm oversize). Will it be OK with the f23 head? Will it fit? I used the calculator F and H series and getting around 12.38:1 for the CR, which is almost the max for daily driven car.

How much will the cam's cost? Whats the the specs like? What stage? Its so good you can have almost everything custom there, here, i hardly find stuff for Accord, most of the parts laying around are either for Civics, or CRX.

Oh, one more thing, you might also want to check the throttle body. Surprisingly small for 2.3Liter Engine. Its only 55mm in diameter. I had mine oversized max up to 59mm. So, more air. Yup.

Went to dyno few days ago. 215.2bhp@6500 and 268.6Nm@5000. All stock f23. Pretty satisfied. Could have gone 220+bhp but it will sacrifice the bottom-mid end power. I'll settle with 215. Next would be wiseco pistons, skunk2 intake manifold, skunk2 68mm throttle body, and maybe bullfrog cam?

Cheers.

Got some dyno graphs to prove your statements?

please note that all these measurements are on crank. They are not WHP and WTQ. So if it was converted, minus off 20%, you do the math. Will post the dyno sheet soon.

Scanner was broken, took some photos instead. Pardon the quality.

Once again, this is pure on crank. ECU reprogrammed, rev cut@7500

Interesting but I don't buy it... I've made 171wtq/174whp with about 10.69:1 (Wiseco 86.5mm/-5cc) on basic ported F23A1 intake and head, no balance shafts - close to/above 200tq/bhp on a Dynapack.

You got a lot more from a so-called stock motor? :/

LOL, why would i lie. I guess in the end it comes down to each of our tuner. If I am not mistaken, this 6th gen accord is more to USDM rather than JDM. It's easier for you guys to find most of the aftermarket parts for this car. While for us, 1st, cost is always the problem, and 2nd we need to ship if we were to order parts from the US (added time+another extra cost). So our turner would customize most of the internals to get as much power as possible without sacrificing the stock condition.

Let say, instead of buying a racing cam gear, they drilled holes in stock cam gear matching those in aftermarket to retune the timing of the shaft. Stock valves, springs, retainers were all modified.

Cheers.
