Marshall again, thank you for showing the test results.

But what I really appreciate is the commentary afterward. This is what makes honda-tech worthwhile.

for good numbers.

If this motor were built in Cali, it would have sported 14CR, run on pump gas and made 269.3 whp/196.1 ft-lbs with a "conservative" tune.

you got part of that right. i think if the motor was built in texas it would be making 290WHP/200TQ, running huge bumpsticks, 11:1CR, tuned conservatively but still running rich with gobs of power left to find.

Anyone remember what the graph looked like, or remember the numbers?

I have a 87.2*85 (2ltr) rallycross engine that's running on pro2s (because thats what we had from before). 13.8:1 CR on regular pump gasoline!. Wondering if its worth swapping to Pro3s, or if we should just go for something bigger (rocket m25x?, supercams, toda D, bisi level X).

Pics of the engine here: http://nyborg-garage.no/?page_id=164

EDIT: For those of you with a facebook account, more pics and info (in english) here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...7.285901672027

And for the camshaft dealers that might read this, feel free to PM me with what you recommend and prices. Also I am looking for used Pro3s if anyone have

Thanks.

I would love to see a comparison between All motors demons vs some pro3. Same day. Nothing changed. Just cams. (This post is in no way/form/size/matter bashing against him since i know how some people react to him) Hes a cool kat.

Demons should hold well against the pro2/3.. the reapers I would expect to out perform on a bigger motor.

No negativity taken..I've learn the past few weeks to roll with the punches.
My customers are happy and that's all thar matters.

When will there be dyno graph of your demons vs pro2/3 cams with nothing changed, just the cams? The reapers would not be well suited for a DD car with a 84.5x89 13+ cr on e85 with vic x mani? Also what valve springs do you recommend to run with the demons and what retainers?

wait so .. ALL MOTOR - your cams are basicly modified Rocket cams correct ? ... which Rocket cam is your demons and reapers based off of and which compares to the skunk2 Pro3s ? Any specs as far lift and duration vs the Rockets and Skunk2s ?

Thanks alot!

The torq curve of my engine almost looks like a copy of the Pro2 curve you had.

i just completed my b20v with skunk2 pro3s. Still in the break in process, ill post a graph after i get the final tune on the dyno. Just like what 92typeR said it warms up and idles like stock, for how big the cams are. After seeing the comparison is what made me go with pro3s over bc5. Thanks for the info 92typeR.

i suppose it could be due to a poorer flowing port on your part... longer duration would help immensly if the port was tapped out flow wise (im including the entire induction tract obviously). question is if the primaries are the same how come theres about a 5 ft lb difference in the graphs on the low end

speaking of low end i must say i really like these pro series graphs, its really refreshing to see a vtec cam that actually makes some power below 6k, the BC 5 cams dont even catch up to the pro3's untill 7k lol.
Tapped = Tapered (reducing in diameter)? => faster flow?
