car wont start after motor build??
i just recently got my b16 completely built and i got it back put it in the car and got it all ready and went to crank it over and it cranks over but wont start and when its cranking it kinda makes a whining noise and also makes like a clicking noise not fast and constant it like click..click..click..click when its turning over sounds like its coming from the head? my fuel pump turns on and i have fuel pressure, im getting spark but havent really messed with ignition timing? i havent checked my fuel filter but it could be so clogged it wont start right? i thing it is more than likely a timing issue...they were supposed to time it but they could have forgot to do it...i would just like to know if anyone has ever came across this or can help me out???

This should really be in the tech section since its more related to troubleshooting/diagnosis...
But anyways, have you done a compression test yet?

Fuses?
All your grounds?
Check all your fuses under the hood and under your dash.. all of them.. making sure everything is good.
All your grounds should be tight and not loose..check the easy stuff first, report back with findings.

Run the ground to the front portion of the head.

I have a valvecover similar to yours, and i ran my ground where it normally would go, and its fine. It'll make a connection through that.. the screw screws past the painting..
You should have "4" major grounds on your motor. Battery to chassis, Tranny to chassis, Valvecover to chassis and of course, ECU ground which is on the top of the thermostat.

The ecu ground, aka wire harness ground goes on top of the t-stat housing.
