Ballpark change in 1/4 times/mph from LS to B16 trans.
I know, it's probably been covered but some searching didn't yield a good answer. I'm pulling my cable LS trans for a B16 trans soon and just curious what kinda of changes to MPH I should see. I know ET will vary based on launch and tire as well, so that's not as important.
Background is this is my autocross car, but I'll be doing some drag racing for fun. It's a PR3 GSR with bolt-ons. First trip to the track after break-in ran a 14.4 @ 98, had to pedal it once I hit 2nd, track was getting slick but I was crossing the line in 3rd gear.
So, all things the same, what kinda change would you see in 1/4 time and ET (the latter specifically) going from a cable LS to a cable B16?

I mentioned it, but more specifically a stock bore/crank GSR with PR3's and a touch decked off the head (11.5:1 according to zeal), valve job and cleaned up the ports, old Blox ITR rep intake mani, PLM Toda style header, 64mm throttle body, Edlebrock 4730 cams (slightly more lift than a CTR, similar duration) 2.5" exhaust with no cat, HiProfile injectors.

If you're already having traction issues with the LS transmission, the B16 will likely make you slower. I've personally seen faster cars with LS transmissions where the shorter geared cars spin and spend time shifting. If you take traction out of the equation, I'd say a few tenths would be a correct assumption.
You'll be faster from a roll and slower from a dig.

Well, you can use that graph to see the trans speeds. Then compare the trap speeds of the 2 trans' and youll have your answer.
they both will trap different speeds. you can see the shift points at rev limiter.
good enough? I mean, its a ballpark as everyones set ups are different
14.4 @98 for the LS = ??.? @ ??

AFAIK I'm the only one to keep track of changes. https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/effects-drivetrain-mods-acceleration-review-1638578/

Thanks Aqua. You picked up around 4mph mostly from drivetrain stuff. I figured it'd get me 3-5mph because that 2-3 shift is what's eating me up, it's falling back to 5K after shifting at 8400 (could probably turn higher, will find out when I dyno it). It unfortunately won't be a complete back to back comparo since I added a 64mm tb and new injectors, but should be close enough.
I know this is just bench racing, just the last trip to the drag strip got me all excited about drag racing some this year between autocross events.

You need a transmission calculator that takes a torque curve and chassis inputs too.
Oh look, I found one, it's even got VTEC inputs. :D
