Default B18C ITR SK2 stg2 Tuner Cams, Piston Advice

Stock JDM ITR motor with SK2 Stg 2 Tuner Cams...Made only 180WHP, tuner said these cams bleed off compression and I Would be better served if I had more compression....ran it for this for a Year looking to make more power with aftermarket pistions.

Looking at 12.5 JE Pistions .50 oversized
Dome CC = 9.0
Compression Height = 30mm

comperssion caculater says I'll be at 11.89:1
Are these too agressive for my cams in terms of V2P clearance?

Head never surfaced, Block Never Decked
Thanks

You'll be completely fine, those aren't necessarily super aggressive cams by NA standards. Just make sure you get the cams degreed, which will ensure the best power output and also that you won't have piston and valve contact.

What about running cast pct CTR pistons ? Would be quite a lot more compression than you were after, and would need very very good fuel, but don't really need a forged piston for a mild n/a build IMO.
Are you against a bit of heavy head surfacing? That could get you to the same compression you wanted without having to buy new parts....

Get a different tuner if he is telling you crap like that. I've seen plenty of factory GSR motors put down 180whp with those cams and you should be pushing 200whp on an ITR motor. Either they are degreed incorrectly or the tuner flat out doesn't know what they are doing to timing and fuel.
