I'm like you Dave, skeptical of any claims made by ANY company until I see proof...

Ever since I bought that Tornado....
I might even do this test on my current B20 its a STD rod, piston freshened bottomend with a good cyl head cam package in it I think it would be worth the effort to test the ATI on this engine.

I agree. I mean, really.. How hard is it to swap out a crank pulley? The damper might take a little longer since you need an actual "puller" (so I hear)...

There should be no "tuning" needed since theres no change in airflow or fuel, just a more precise crankshaft to camshaft timing at high rpms, right?

No timing "drift" is why theres supposed to be HP gains correct?

After reading alot more about it I can see benefits of using the ATI product but more to do with bearing life than HP gains and for the price its a nice investment for any performance engine.I will test it with no alt hooked up so we dont see a HP gain from the under driving of that making the gains.

Wont the voltage dropping at higher rpms skew the results?
Or are you gonna put a battery charger/jump box on the car while your dyno-ing it?

Or will a healthy battery not even be affected?

No we have a good charging system in the dyno cell for tuning drag cars that dont have a charging system, and for playing around with injector deadtime corrections on the dyno.

The ati damoper is great for your rotating assembly. It helps reduce bad vibrations, enhancing engine perfomance and life.
