Timing Chain Longevity?
What's the longevity of the K24 timing chain? I've seen that scheduled service is at 110,00 but timing chain replacement or simple inspection is unclear. Unless I'm missing something. And it looks like almost an entire engine pull would be necessary to perform timing chain replacement. ICBW, of course.
Most auto manufacturers recommend replacement around 100k+ miles so I'm supposing that is the same with the K24 and K20. Anyone have clear and concrete info on this?
Thanks in advance!

yup, we have a '90 toyota truck with 145,000 miles and haven't replaced ours either.

Re: Timing Chain Longevity? (ES2)
i used to have a old *** toyota pick up back in the day.. a **** load of miles also.. never a problem with the chain.
now.. as i understand it.. the timming chain needs to be inspected.. and i do belive there is a minor adjustment to take up slop. if the adjustments are done regularly.. im assuming maybe every 60K.. the chain should last you the life of the car. 200K +.
someone else can chime in.
