2004 TSX - Check Engine Light
Does anyone know what could be causing the Check Engine Light to come on?
At first (for about a month or so) it just flashed when I started the car. It would do that for about a minute or two after the car started. Then it would go out. About two weeks ago it just started staying on.
I get my oil changed regularly, I wouldn't think it would have much to do with that. Plus, there's only 24,000 miles on the care.
Is this something that I need to take to the dealer to have reset or is it something more serious?
Also, if it's just something that needs reset, does anyone know if I can take it anywhere or does it have to go back to the deal?
Thanks in advance.

is it the CEL or the maintance req'd light? if the maintance req'd light, just take it in and have it turned off, they come on every 7500miles i believe.

yeah, just go to a dealer and they will probably reset it for free. I am not sure how to reset it, but maybe someone else on HT will know. Good luck anyway.

I think that you turn your car key to second position (just before cranking). Push your trip dial (one on the left on your speedo) in and hold, after 5 seconds or so light should go out...
