Default Distributor O-ring replacement

My 1995 2.5L 5 Cyl Honda Inspire/Acura TL is leaking oil through the distributor. I changed one O-ring on the distributor but understand that there are two. Any help?

There is a seal inside the distributor housing on the shaft itself that often leaks. It's not available separately, you have to buy the whole dist. housing. (unless you want to tear it down yourself and try and match it up with something).

Thanks for the info. I may try to change that 0-ring on the distributor shaft.

it's not an o-ring...it's a seal. If you're going to do the job, it would be wise to have new distributor ready.

Good luck,

AJ

Thanks for saving me alot of trouble. The Honda dealer sold me 2 o-rings. I installed one and went to return the other one and the parts guy said that the distributor took two o-rings. He said it took a while before their own mechanics realized this. Anyway, if its a seal rather than an o-ring & you recommend I have a replacement distributor ready, I think I'll live with the leak awhile longer. Thanks again for your help.
