supercharger + bottle
hey guys im plannin on doin a comptech supercharger on about 10-11 lbs roughly and puttin about a 75 shot to it tuned. Right now the mods i have are intake, header, exhaust, kpro, stage 1 clutch with 11lbs flywheel. just curious what kind of numbers i can expect since superchargers love nitrous. thanks

i think its ok to want supercharged because i think the power it gives you is just right for a front wheel drive car especially if its going to be daily driven. if you ask me big numbers arent always better

it all depends on what you want, what your goals are and what you like. Everyone is going to have different preferences.

I was overlooking that, but its also a very good point.
And with a turbo you'll spool up at a certain rpm then a load of power gets thrown to the front wheels causing you to lose traction, whereas a supercharger might keep your tires planted better even with the same whp/wtq

a load of power isn't just "thrown" at you at a certain rpm with turbos. it builds up (spooling) and you don't "feel it" till a certain rpm because that's when the turbo comes alive as a supercharger is belt driven and is instantanious but regardless if you start making lots of power it gets hard to put it down to the ground regardless.

yeah, but turbo's outperform superchargers. You can still have a DD turbo'd car. But if you want to go supercharger, have fun. i think supercharged rsx's are sexy.. but i'm a turbo lover.

There is a guy on clubrsx. Oside something he is s/c'ed and gas'ed. You'll see his name in the nitrous oxide forum. I'm sure he could answer any question you could ever think to ask.

He's talking about Oside Jimc. Think he ran 9 lbs on a CTSC w/ a 75 shot for almost a year on stock internals.
There are over people over on CRSX with a S/C + nitrous. It's really great. Don't know why I took so long to do it.

Re: (knwldge54)
Just don't activate the nitrous under 5k rpms and youll be fine. And get professionally tuned. Also make sure you bring more than one bottle of nitrous to the tuning session. As bottle pressure drops nitrous delivery is affected.
