Default Nitrous ITR

Any guesses as to how much WHP/TQ i will be making... I dyno in a few weeks... just lookin for some guesses, i will post when i actually get the plots.

see signature for list of mods..

Also wondering how much results would probably differ with a Hytech full system? How much more than the proven 20whp will I be getting due to how much more potential the nitrous should have with better flowing piping?

Thanks,
Jon

I was making 202whp / 151Tq. on my 2000 Civic Si with AEM Intake, Tanabe Exhaust, Clutchnet Stage 2 Clutch, ZEX 10.4lb. Flywheel and a 75 Shot ZEX Kit and running mid 13's with 2.4 60fts. all day long. So just imagine what a N20 ITR will do.....Amazing. If you have any ?'s let me know.

Thanks for the info.... you think i should have no problems pulling 12's without the header or exhaust? i am assuming i will be somewhere in the 220whp area... you think? with some more tq

how was your street fun with the SI? What kinda kills? Any nitrous driving tips?

Thanks,
Jon

I reccomend not spraying below 4,000 rpms, thats where I launched at the track. I sprayed 1st gear and you will have traction problems but it is much faster even with all the spining. I tried spraying second gear at the track and when i fliped the swich it just broke traction again I ended up running like 14.0's. So the 1st gear spraying had a better effect, so i was like oh well 1st gear is better. Don't hit the revlimiter. Driving around town was fun. I always had the bottle open and without a bottle heater on hot days I could get around 1200-1250psi. and I could feel a big diffrence from the normal 900psi to the 1200psi. I am guessing with Header I could have hit 210whp and maybe little more tourqe the without. How much are you planing on sprayng? With a 50shot you should have around 210-220whp with around 160tq. If you got any more ?'s just let me know.

I already have the setup, but I have not been using it b/c it needs to be tuned (happening soon) and i dont want to risk running to lean or rich. I have a direct port setup, and I will be running an 80 shot. It is a pretty extensive system including things such as an MSD Digital-6, Holly fuel pump, MSD Window Switch, NOS Remote Bottle Opener & Heater, and NOS Purge system... I also have the two step hooked up to the ignition, gauges, and a new set of colder copper plugs.

Any guesses as to what i will be hitting with and without piping(header, diff. cat, exhaust)?

Any kills to share that happened on the street? Did you use it any different on the street then you did at the track?

Ever run into problems with yer car from the nitrous?

Thanks,
Jon

With a direct port and proper tuning you can run a 100 shot on a b18c5. Tuning is the key.

im in the process of going direct port 100 shot on mine now.
right now i have 80 shot wet and prob close to 250 whp , right around there
and the dry kit i dynoed on 70 shot @230 whp and 181 ft lbs , and was having fuel issues and timing issues at that time .
im assuming youll have at least 230 with the direct port set up . . . . fuel and timing are key. get a fuel pump and a clutch

I have a fuel pump and I have a stage 2 clutch. I think the tuner wanted to run the car a little on the rich side to ensure that on the hottest of days the car would not run too lean. Maybe i will just run it less rich and avoid squeezing when it is very hot out.

Does the stock ITR header and exhaust really restrict the nitrous's potential that much? How much more/less am i looking at with those?

itr206 - any kills to share with your setup? or any timeslips?

Thanks,
Jon

you will be restricted, how much ? i dontknow
i dont use the nitrous that much cusz my car pulls mid 13s all motor anyway . but i have pulled 12.8 with the single fogger wet with no tuning and tractionproblems .
its a hell of a ride man , i wanna go sup er low 12's when i finish the direct poer upgrde and im doing all my susp stuff this weekend for traction and going hard off the line

Sounds good, what are you doing for suspension. I am in the process of getting the JDM front put on, and I may do some suspension at the same time (most likely looking at Koni yellows & H&R sport springs)... what are you thinking of doing for suspension? How much of a drop?

What kind of tires did you run on the R for the 12.8?

What n/a stuff is putting you at a mid 13?

How much did the motor mounts help you?

What kind of weight reduction did you do?

Nos blow down tube and blowoff cap, whats are those?

Fuel pressure regulator - how much more power were you able to squeeze?

Thanks for the input..
Jon

motor mount inserts, z10 traction bars and skunk 2 coilovers are going in this weeknd .
i run on mickey thompsons.
wegith reduction , seats , spare, jack , ac.
if anything with the regulator you will tune the fuel down rather than up . i dont have it tuned yet though so i dont knwo with the power for that , its nice to have though.
the blow off cap and blow down tube are for safety, tracks more than likely wont let you race without em .
