Default stupid question - oil filter - counterclockwise to remove, correct?

My damn filter is stuck as I'm trying to do oil change - just want to be 100% sure that I'm not twisting the wrong way - counterclockwise to loosen, right?

Correct. And by the way, the Honda spec is 7/8 of a turn after gasket contact when re-installing.
