Default RSX engine swapped wont crank please help

Hi i recently swapped another k20a2 into my 02 RSX, and i cannot get it to crank. When i turn the key i can hear the fuel pump activate and that is all. My accessories work and i have tried to start with different batteries. I have put both batteries on a charger to ensure they are fully charged, one happened to have a parasitic battery drain on it however the other was fine. I also tried to start while jumping it to no avail. Before attempting to put in the second battery when i turned the key i heard several clicks, this however is no longer present. My thought is that it may be the started since i installed the starter that came with the new engine and am unaware of its condition. However the engine i bought came with 80,000 miles the starter looked to be in good shape and as i recall his post may have said new starter. So my question to you all is do you think that it is a starter problem or something else? Also could there be any sensors that i may have missed that would prevent it from cranking? This is my first swap so i could easily have missed something. What steps do you recommend i take next?
Edit: I have cleaned the battery terminals and connections.

Two connections are made from your charge harness to the starter: a large gauge wire with a ring terminal on it that is held to the starter with a 12mm washered nut, and a smaller gauge wire with a female spade connector on the end that connects to the male starter signal spade on the solenoid. Make sure that both of these are in fact properly connected. You will most likely have to look up from under the car and under the intake manifold to verify this. A flashlight and a small mirror may help. Also, many people are painting their engine/transmissions for a "cleaner" engine bay look... trouble is, they forget that GROUNDS don't work well through paint. The starter grounds through the body to the transmission case... if you painted it, you must scrape the entire area where the starter touches the trans case to expose bare aluminum for proper contact.
