just the other night i was driving on the freeway and all of a sudden the car just shut off on me. took the nearest exit and try to start the car back up and it just crank. at some point it feel like there is no fuel feeding in to the engine. I give it a little gas and it sound like it wanted to start but just kind of bog out and shut off again. So i thought the fuel pump was out, i put my ear on top of the back seat to hear if the fuel pump will engage if the key is turn to on and i did. I try to start the car again and now it wont crank but just click. So now the problem might be the starter....Any Help to get my baby back to life would be great.
It's unlikely both the starter would be bad along with another reason that would cause the car to stall. I would first check the battery, the connections, and the alternator.
I will definitely check those out...i also try to push start it and nothing happen either...if it's not the starter then I might have to yank out the whole motor
My guess is it is electrical, most likely a bad ground, the "click" you hear when trying to start is most likely the starter solenoid energizing, just not enough power left in the batt. to crank the engine or poor batt. to engine ground.
The bad ground would also stall the engine. 94
Cool..we in the process of taking out the starter right now and will look throughly to see what else the problem could be....any other suggestions would be great..once I find out the problem then I will update you all..
Ok so i took out the manifold and notice what might be the valve spring that look all beat up...what do you guys thhink ??/ could anything in the internal be bad ??
Did you overrev it ? Seems like you can just replace the valve spring, but it depends on the extent of the damage if pieces broke off and ruined the engine.
