Default my exhaust pipe hangs low

i'm trying to find out if this is normal or was my exhaust not installed properly. As you see my b-pipe hangs lower than normal (i think). The only thing i can think of is in the 2nd picture, i can see a little bit of the header gasket showing. I didn't hear an exhaust leak...but i want to know if there supposed to be a gap in between the header & downpipe like that?

Gasket looks fine. Does seem a little low. What exhaust is it? You could take it to a muffler shop to get looked at.

is this an ep3?........i assume ...anyway honda wanted to be able to state a larger sqaure footage of space in the civic interior ...to do so they made the floor flat by removeing the tunnel/hump that the exaust ran in ....in doing so , the exaust had to go somewhere ...so i guess down was the easiest way... that is why when you lower you ep3 the exaust always scrapes on **** ........thanks honda

this is a fujitsubo exhaust and it's a RSX. If it's not the header gasket, then i'm thinking it has something to do with the bpipe flange that connects to the cat/downpipe

I think it's just the way it's made, you're not the first one I've heard complain about the Fujitsubo b-pipe sitting a little low

My exhaust piping hangs pretty low too and it's custom. I don't think it hangs that low though. I'm dropped on Progress springs and only the gigantic speed bumps scrape my piping.

Can't be worst than mine. The previous owner put a 3" custom b-pipe and it's 3" from the ground. I scrape over a lot of things.

God I miss my car

My friend bent his power getting. if you want to raise it up a little you can do it. just go to a muffler shop and have them put more mounts on the piping.

Yeah like someone mentioned earlier, don't lower it anymore. Looks pretty low already. Other than that, i think you're exhaust is fine. It's just the nature of these aftermarket exhaust systems. They all usually want to take the straightest possible line to the end of the car and that means having to hang low to clear the under body. Just be careful when you drive over speed bumps and you should be fine.

But if you really are worried about it, you can take it to an exhaust shop and have them bend the exhaust hangers a little bit so that the B-pipe can hang a little higher. Just make sure then don't bend it too much or else it might put some stress on where the B-pipe connects to the header and you can get a exhaust leak.

At least it isn't as bad as those poor souls who bought the 4-1 Spoon/Mugen header and used it on their EG hatch's. Those headers weren't meant for the EG and would sit too low to the ground and as a result, most people would smash the bottom of the header.

My Buddy Club Pro Spec is also low. I mounted a "skid plate" made of an aluminum bar .75" W x .125" thick. It runs the length of the mid pipe and is secured with hose clamps. Looks ghetto to the oil change guys but I'd rather have that get scratched up than the thin wall piping of the exhaust.

the ep3s and dc5s are like that. looking at the bottom of my car when it was sitting in the rack when i got my car aligned, the bottom of the car doesnt really have much room to make the b-pipe go any higher.

now, about your mid-pipe, that thing is still kinda high for me. now talk about my t1r b-pipe having only 2inches or less ground clearance? yeah, i scrape once in a while, but that's how it is, its a part of the game especially if your car is dropped. just gotta have a sense of humor to be careful driving it around. here's my ride wit 15's and slammed.
