Default HID's and aftermarket headlights

I bought the ebay brand depo black housing headlights for my RSX and wanted to know if I put HID's in them without any issues. Someone told me it would help the headlights or something, does anyone know if that's true?

Also how hard is it to install HID's in the RSX? Do I have to remove the lights from the car?

Thanks in advance, sorry about the noob question!

I haven't really heard about the HID melting the headlights... but the most comment problem is the wiring melting or catching fire... But if you buy a good brand this will most likely not happen!

^werd.

I haven't installed H.I.D.'s on an RSX, but some vehicles need to have the bumper removed to mount the ballasts correctly. I'm unsure, whether or not, your RSX falls into this catagory though.

You have to make sure you get the correct type of bulb from the HID kit matching your headlight housing. It's fairly easy to install the hid kit but taking out the headlights probably could mean you have to take off your front bumper. Your purchase should come with some instructions.

HIDS are great, but at the same time can pose some problems. I haven't heard anything about them melting headlights though. Some cars like was said, it requires the bumper to be removed to properly install them. Also, if you are a DIY man and your going to DIY, watch out for laws because in some states if the ballast is zip-tied or attached some way, it will be considered illegal and bar your car from passing the states respective inspection.

Good luck!

****Pm me with any questions, ive done installs on several different cars.

Depo RSX headlights + HID's = complete ****. My brother got a kit and it really is crappy with the Depo's, stocks actually do a better job with the output.

His cutoff is non-existant and light is thrown everywhere. He's going to do a '06 conversion and get rid of the Depos.
