Default hatch leak?

so it rained today. and i was on my way home for lunch, and i hear this "gurgling" noise coming from the rear of my car. not really sure what the hell it is. so now that it has stopped raining, i go to inspect. i take the spare tire out and notice that there is water down there. i'm guessing the hatch seal has gone bad? but i dont know what the gurgling noise is from. i am gonna drill a hole in the bottom and hope that it wont happen again.

has this happened to anyone else???

Jenna I had this same problem when I first got my car. It's a taillight gasket or atleast it was on mine. Dealer fixed it under warranty. Hasn't leaked since.
