The bottom line is look into the Owners Manual and find what the manufacturer recommends for fuel. If they recommend regular (87 octane) then that's your answer..

Well, if Jack/B18CXr says it, I think that pretty much puts it to rest.
Jack has a dyno at his shop and I am sure he must have tested it if he asserts it with such a certainty.

Haha, gas here was $2.25 for 87 about 3 months ago, not its like $1.78 unless you go to Arco like i do, then its $1.49, cheapest gas in the Bay Area by 20 cents a gal.

what about Hondata.
What about it?
Ive run 100+ octane at the track and it DOES make a difference
once again, anything higher than 87 or 88 WILL NOT INCREASE POWER in anyway shape or form if your using a STOCK A3

our 100 octane pump gas at 76 is 6.50 per/gallon and ive heard gains of as much as .5 seconds in the 1320... reg 87 is 2.20 per gall... but yes 100 octane does make a difference..

Stock yes -
with hondata ecu flash -- no
I get faster times at the track on 100+ octane -- period. end of story.

I hear you on that... where I live in PA it is around 1.60 per gallon, and if I got to NY state it is like 1.65 for 87.

Re: EP's can hold more than 13.2 gallons of fuel............ (taikahn)
I saw a dyno of a stock EP3 making 2-3 more horses with higher octane fuel. Typical variation between runs? Sensitive knock sensor? I don't know. Just some food for thought.

As I said before has anyone had the issue with the EP where it reads empty but you still have like 4 gallons in the tank when you fill up?
