I'm looking into tinting my windows, for my Magnesium Metallic 06 rsx-s. I was wondering what % I should go on them. I would like to go even all the way around. Any pics of the same color ride would be dope. any input would be great! I also live in san diego.. which means i dont wnt to go to dark due to cops.. thanks

i'm gonna get mine done with 20%...but that's probably too dark for you. try 35%

you should get 35% cuz anything below is why too dark. Cops around here are strict on cars with dark tint. i got 55% tint on my MM 05 RSX-S

i just told them to do mine the legal limit
i don't want can authority trouble
i don't want anyone peeking into my car, i'll just show them i have nothing
and, i want to be able to see clearly at night

I've got a Silver Type-S and I'm thinking of getting 35% mirror all the way around. 35% mirror's look real nice and only look mirror from an angle. I saw it on a silver M3 at work and it looked sick.

I think no tint is a cleaner look, Kinda funny i think that because i tint windows for a living. I would go with a very light ceramic film, ceramic films are expensive but they dont have that ghetto reflective look, unless of course thats the look you want.

well you can't really tell that i have tints..my friends keep telling me to put tints but i keep telling them that i have tints..its just the lightest one. 55%.. its just alittle darker then without tint.. hardly noticeable so cops won't bother you

I think 20% in perfect for any car. My car passed an inspection on 20% too. Around here, they don't go by percentage, but if you can read a piece of paper with font the size of a newspaper headline inside the car at a certain distance.

ignore the grocery list on the side of my old dc5, i went through a "phase" when i was 16-17 years old but anyway this is what 20% looks like......it really isn't that dark, or to light, IMO 20% is perfect



and what it ended up to look like when i sold it at 19 to earn some respect back here on honda-tech

I own a 06 MR, And I have my windows tinted 20% hatch window and back side windows---- 35% side windows----, and a 50% front windshield ( 3m product). Everything is legal besides the front windshield tint here in utah. Me personally, I hate real dark tints. ( unless you have a ugly interior or are ugly period, Then i could see going limo tint !

in my case... ive got limo all around. and have 35% on my windshield. that little setup is actually legal here in Las Vegas. ive driven back tho to cali, San Francisco, San Bruno, San Jose, Vallejo and Union City. ive never had real problems with the police before.

i was pulled over though on the 680 for having my tint. told em i was from vegas, and they let me go. but reason why he pulled me over.. was pretty lame. and that was... cop asked if i could see thru my tint on the windshield because he wants to get that same tint on his SUV. haha!

on another note... my homie from Redwood City, has 20% all around including windshield. she says police dont bug her about it. i think as far as this tint law goes.. it all depends on the local police dept laws...

btw.. i drove to san diego not too long ago. cops didnt really say anything about my tint too. i drove all over national city and chula vista. i did ask a cop tho when i was in national city about my tint. and he had told me what i did think. and that all just depends on the cop and what they believe. i mean, some are dicks and some arent. but whatever the situation is.. ya know. just be happy with the tint. if it's too dark, roll em down when u see a set of lights on the roof of a possible squad car. ya dig?

20% tint in GA, had it done in December and haven't had a prob with it. Only thing with mine is my tint shop told me it looked like crap putting tint all the way to the top on the rear window... it did so we put in a black vinyl black strip across that section and it looks good. Also the i never see that strip in my rear view mirror so i wouldn't worry about that either.
