i was parusing clubrsx and i read that a 02-04 prb ecu can be converted for use on an 05-06 rsx for $200 if you send it to hondata.
so before i spend this kind of money i wanted to be sure.
i can buy one of these 02-04 setups that are all over h-t and send it to hondata and for 200 have k-pro for my 05 rsx?

and does it have to be prb? cant use a pnd ?

You have to use an 02-04 ecu for k-pro on an 05-06.

I'm running an 03 RSX-S ecu on my 05... now it's controlling a s/c K24a2 lol

wait wait wait? are the connector different? i have a 02 civic si and getting my k20a2 swap next week. ecu wont hook up? and reprograms keys on hds? i think its out of a 02-04 rsx type s

to run a 02-04 K-pro ecu for an 05 it needs to be modified and it needs to have a jumper harness

I think you are confused bud. I think this only applies to RSX. You can either use your stock EP ECU to send to Hondata for K-Pro or you can use the ECU that will come with your swap.

Yeap, ECU that comes with motor be okay. But if you use your EP3 ECU with new motor and 6sp tranny, you won't have the reverse lock out feature. So, go with a2 ECU and ditch the a3 ECU. I had no choice cuz of the compatability issue w/ z3 motor, I had to use my a3 ECU.

Yes you can use an already kproed ecu from an 02-04 and send it to hondata for them to convert it to 05 - 06

ok ok i just didn't have a clue if the connector harness was different, and i know for rsx only but i was just saying in general when swapping it into the ep3.
