Why did my rotor screw come loose?
This has happened to me twice, where the distributor rotor screw came loose. Car shut off in the middle of 3rd gear at 7Krpm. Opening the dist. I found the screw lodged in the leak cover and finally the rotor couldn't spin. Why is this screw coming loose?
BTW, do I absolutely need a leak cover? It was damaged...so I took it out for now. I know I have a spare somewhere...just gotta find it.

Possible bad distributor bearing causing lots of additional vibration. Shakes the screw out. Get distributor checked ASAP as it can cause other damage if it seizes.
