why bimmer stunners are retarted.
one frove his car off the jack stands
one broke 2 wheel bolts....then did 80+ the whole ride home
one complained of his car pulling and feeling real bad in the front. then also did 80+ all the way home.

Thanks! Hopefully your trip home was uneventful and safe too. It was nice to see your clan out there having fun.
It might be a bit before the "person" in question posts anything since he has many other matters to deal with (non-car related and car related). But I'll post on his behalf to let everyone know he's fine physically. Mentally, he always had a few screws loose so he's a-o-k.
And many thanks to those who decided that a public forum isn't a good place to discuss personal matters. Hopefully everything will be resolved in due time.

I have no idea what person you're talking about, but whoever he/she is, I know they must be thinking how fortunately things turned out this time around for them.
I hope the resolution is speedy and favorable.

Hear hear!
The only bad thing about the BBQ was that we got so darn full. It really was a bad thing, believe it or not. The reason being is because I couldn't buy a round for Anton and his wonderful wife for the BBQ and rest of their efforts to keep us fed during the day. After eating, all I could do was drag my butt to bed.
We really do need to go out for drinks (without cars involved) one day.

I have grass clippings all over the dash and dirt just about everywhere inside. Never thought it woulda kicked up that much. Ironically no dirt in the engine bay
Yeah, it's too bad you didn't tape that. A perfect example of what NOT to do. I did however want to see if I didn't brake till I started to go off. Do you remember? All I remember doing was both feet in and trying to straighten the car out. Was definitely a learning experience and a good session.

Re: (1GreyTeg)
after the 1 off, (your front pass tire had enough momentum to jump the curbing), rear pass tire ate dirt, you got back onto the busstop fine, but then your car swung around (overcompensating*), aimed for the bluebushes... you accelerated a bit more, crossed the grassy medium between busstop and regular straight road...somewhere between the grass and coming back onto the pavement, did I see those red taillights light up.
I can pretty much guesstimate what happened, but I leave it up to you to review the video I was worried for a bit that you wouldnt stop in time...it really was a close one.
i thought you were fine even though the mud was kicked up.... i've been there and done that before at lime rock... and now i seldom spin from a 2 off. its all part of the track experience as Ryan will probably attest.

She is a tiny person.
If she weighed more than 90 lbs soaking wet I'd be surprised.
This is a perfect example:
The friggen fire hydrant is 3/4 her height.

I'd figure I'd post this in this thread, as the internet is a powerful tool for faceless mudslinging bringing out the courage from people who otherwise are quite humble: (like myself)
I've been told that I'm a bonafide idiot on the track simply because i like to try new lines and as a result, going "off" occaisionally...I must have something to prove at the track...these controlled efforts can not possibly be just to improve on driver skill. Personally, I know most of the rspeeder's and I dont think this rspeeder was very accurate or credible to what he was saying.
a specific example was cited.. Turn 1 at watkins, i decided try out someone elses line...felt great going in at about 70, and out at ~82. (bouncing off limiter in 3rd) When all was said and done ~7-8 mph faster than my other line in 4th, instead of taking the corner a little deeper/slower for me. (credit goes to THK )
2nd and 3rd time around I decided to carry another +5mph additional into the entry each time... little too hot on the 3rd time around given the changing conditions, i probably could have saved myself from ending up on the wrong side of the painted gators, but i didnt because there was plenty of room for error. The result? a slight correction and im back online, no real time lost, and no real added danger.
Only in my humble opinion, I was in control, even though i might have deviated from the regular line.
I also black flagged for it:
"you know what you did?"
"yes, yes i do."
"ok. have fun out there"
i would be shocked if there really are unintelligable protagonists in rspeed after so many track days, and seeing what really goes on at the track.
My opinion about going off course: if you have never gone off ever, you probably are not getting a full experience from the track.
if you agree or disagree, lets hear it. either here or in a pm.

Re: (255.255.255.255)
I'm glad you found a slightly different line that got you around Turn 1 a bit faster.
But personally, IMHO, going off is not a part of the learning experience. You should eventually be able to judge when conditions change immediately and compensate for it by backing off or adjust accordingly (when you're driving solo and missing that "voice of reason" in the passenger seat). You may know speed is there and can be maximized in a certain fashion but is it truly worth it? Unless you have a bonafide track car that you can ball up and write it off, it's not worth it to me. Why go there when it isn't a race?
There is nothing wrong with trying out new things but always keep things in check to make sure, to the best of your ability, that it doesn't go over the edge. Going two-four wheels off is going over that edge. Try to minimize the risk as much as possible considering that what we do for fun is consider a high risk hobby.
