car is a 2000 ex with jdm b18c-r..... to make a long story short...let my buddy drive and he did the redline 3rd to 2nd when going for 4th and i ended up with 12 bent valves and what seemed to be a destroyed clutch...i dropped the tranny and did the clutch torqued to spec put back together bleed and it still wont go into any gear when the car is running..when the car is off it goes into every gear with ease...i have the tranny back off and i cracked it open and see no sign of anything being wrong and plan on doing a slave and MC??? when i had the d series in the clutch chattered bad but i dont see any sign of a leak. could it be the MC or slave without leaks?? help please with opinions??? thanks

Are you sure you installed the clutch correctly?

yeah...the disk is bigger on one side and will only go on one way or it will not sit flush

Had the same problem you just described. Everybody insisted it was the clutch. I pulled the transmisson off three times, replaced the clutch twice, and replaced the clutch master/slave cylinder, which didn't fix the problem. When I pulled the transmission off the third time I observed the throwout bearing was barley making contact with the clutch fingers. I pulled the clutch release fork out and compared it to a new one and discovered the fork was bent about an 1/8 inch. I replaced the clutch release fork and haven't had a problem since.

what did you do to bent it exacly?? over rev like what happened to me?

I had done the same thing, and it was caused by exploding the clutch. I guess the disc exploded, and jammed the pressure plate against the throw out bearing, and thus bending the arm!

at first look did you notice it was warped or did it take a new one to compare it too??

Most likely there is a problem with your pressure plate. Or maybe you (or whoever installed it) installed it wrong. Pull it back off, make sure all bolts are tight and in right holes. Also pull the clutch off and inspect pressure plate for any abnormal stress cracks in both the teeth and the surface of the plate. Does it make any chattering noise? If so, Your problem lies with the pressure plate. Is that INTELLIGENT ENOUGH FOR YOU? haha

well if you scroll up a little jdmegmong had it happen to him and ive been researching a little and its not rare by any means...lauching with slicks or a real heave duty clutch with an unsprung disk and a lot of HP can even do it...people are sayin that the shock of the over rev may have bent it when my pressure plate let go

I had the same problem... turns out the mechanic installed the clutch disk backwards , i fixed it myself and been working on my own cars ever since.
