Also if you haven't noticed, ITR's don't depreciate as quickly as other hondas. If someone is dumb enough to buy the first ITR them come across, whether it be super expensive or super cheap, then by all means go ahead. Car pricing is all skewed on Autotrader anyway.

Also, if you haven't noticed, I was trying to point out the fact, it's owners like ITR0952 who "are make" ITR owners look bad. Being an arrogant *******, as to say ...

... does not fly in my book. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Or maybe you should shut the &%%$ up?

If you do feel sorry for the civic kid for flaming on Rs, maybe you should share ur R with him.

Rule of Thumb... you should not talk bad things about cars that are better than what u drive. It goes other way around. another words, u are not eligible. so own an R first.

still don't understand, I thought so.

it's goes like this Enzo --&gt; Porsche --&gt; STI ---&gt; R ---&gt; Civic ---&gt; bicycle --&gt; My Dog.

Default Re: Rsx-S or Integra-R (BauleyCivic)

For BauleyCivic of course,

Jesus christ you're lame!! Just to cover a few points:

1.) Get a life. Why are you even on this thread, shouldn't you be worried about what's going on in the FI or CIVIC forums?

2.) Yes, there are arrogant owners of ANY type of car. Who cares?? Please refer back to point 1.

3.) You keep trying to bring down the ITR when the ITR outperforms a civic in every category (this is not an opinion keep this in mind go find any statistics). Your quote:

'I always thought it was a overweight, overpriced Honda Civic. Maybe I'm wrong?'

So ummmm. The 200 lb difference matters how?? I see no importance in this fact whatsoever. Yes, it shares the civic platform. It has a COMPLETELY different motor, transmission, suspension, ... . I would expect a motor that puts out almost twice the HP of the SOHC civic to cost a little more!! Especially when pieces of the engine were hand polished! And then there's the brakes you were talking about, functional spoilers, and a few hundred other parts the company threw in the car to raise it's performance. I'm sure that didn't cost the company anything, I mean why would the limited-production and profoundly higher performance ITR cost more than the super mass production Honda Civic??

3.) Honda built the civic to be a cheap economical car. The Integra is the Acura badged version of the (economical) civic platform. The GSR is the sport edition, made a little faster and sportier. The TYPE R is the limited production version of the same 'econ' platform, but was made to showcase some of the new technology honda had to offer at the time. When the car was introduced in 96-97, the car absolutely spanked any car of it's class and many above its class as well! Not bad for a 24k car at the time, especially considering its FF design. It's no wildly fasted car by any means, but was still without cause to argue the best handling front wheel drive car ever made (still don't see this as opinionary, correct me if I'm wrong). Some may still argue the same today which brings up point 4:

4.) Freaking news flash!! Its almost 2005, would you believe they came out with new technology in the last few years?????? Wow, can you believe the new 2004-5 $35000 STi is faster than the old $24000 integras? Who'd have ever imagined.

No one is saying that the ITR is the best car in the world ever created. It's a pretty damn good car though, while there are a few morons out there that try to inflate the performance of the car like it's god, who cares!! It's like the old 240Z in 1970. Was it the fastest car at the time? By no means of course not, but what it offered in performance at the time for it's cost was pretty awesome, which is why that car will be remembered forever. The ITR was much the same kind of car to an extent. It brought out a level of affordable performance never seen before in a 'civic'-like platform.

edit: Seriously lets just lock this now

Indeed I do.

Brandon, I totally respect what you write. Your posts are always very fun to read. I'm just saying, after your post, that was the end all to this whole thread. It's just gonna continue to be a bunch of **** throwing if we let this continue. It's gone on long enough, for this thread atleast.

Take some pics of the biyatches for me.

Are you people even soaking in what your reading? Did you know the average person only retains 10% of a conversation? For most of you it seems your at about 2%. I said I like the company SPOON. I like Canon Digital cameras and Apple computers. I like Volcom and Rusty Surfboards. WTF is wrong with that? To each his own God Damn desire. You buy what makes you happy in life. I buy what makes me happy in life. It doesn't matter what I say or the next guy to come along, because you guys that constantly shoot everyone down all the time, is the only thing your good at. That's all you do is just run your mouths. I asked for help and advice for a turbo system, which I've stated several times, I'm new to, and all I keep getting is a bunch of bullshit smart *** remarks about things that are completely irrelevant to the original question.

I'm not going to blow anything up *******. I'm more mechanically inclined than you give credit to. Because I'm new to this post doesn't mean I posses the same mechanical know how as your mother. I've always worked on my cars. I'm quite sure that this goes for allot of you as well. Anyone with half a brain, common sense and patience can work on a car and keep it running, and/or knows when something is wrong.

I just cannot understand the mentality of some of you some times. When I try to, my head hurts. Judge not before you judge yourself.

If you don't have anything to say about a part related to a Turbo system then go somewhere else. Your stupid remarks are not wanted.

like many others have stated many different ways, unless you plan to race the caR in some way, get the RSX, its not worth the hastle. However, if you plan to do Autox or track days, joo gotta go with da R.

that sums it up. enough arguing about who'se car's better and pointless statements (like calling R owners elitest ******** ). drop it, the guy has plenty info. on both cars, let him make his own decision.

Is it just me or does anyone else find this 8 page thread (created in only 24 hours) completely funny & useless?

In the end, why would anyone expect the Type R forum to have a bunch of guys saying buy another car??? Of course we think ours is better. Many of us have the experience in other cars beyond the R to justify OUR decision.

Hopefully the poor sap who started this got something out of it besides just gut-splitting laughs

Lets see, both cars designed to handle better than standard versions. Both have more power, better brakes, different parts (interior, exterior, etc.) Both are made by different companies.

Whats a "real car"? I'm sure you've taken the time to get to know Rob before you started flaming him about HIS opinion. Does Rob come into the Civic forum and bash what you say?

Show some self control as a mod and quit trolling.

I still love you. Though you.....*sniff, sniff*....don't love me! (breaks out in whaling cries).

Though this topic should have ended, it has opened up much debate which I think everyone needs. I'm interested into seeing where this thread leads too. As far as it goes for me, on this thread, I'm not posting on it anymore. I've made my point (see page 7). Time to get back to what's important right now: The bikini clad, perky breasted women walking around in the 85 degree Hawaii sunshine.
