R oil filter, same as GSR, LS? Wix/NAPA good?
:edit: Fugg it, S2K from Len I guess, and hoping I can still get the large one's for awhile. Be nice to have an emergency supplier tho.
I heard the Wix 'gold' (same as Napa Gold) filters are supposed to be very good. Can anyone comment?
I also am worried that sNapa does not have the ITR listed (only LS, GSR), and that the ITR filter might be different, and I'd get the wrong one. Anyone know?
Besides what's in the great oil weight debate thread, anyone have any other filter recommendations? Otherwise it's stock from Len for me

Just get the OEM blue filter. The smaller ones boost oil pressure ( supposedly better VTEC operation).

the oem small filter sucks its a fram anyways...i would personally stick with napa golds and the older oem filters...
napa should have the itr listed too so i dont think that would be a problem...!

Honda and Acura, at least in NorCal, have universal filters now. They are all the smaller ones. They won't sell the larger size--for that you'll have to go with Hamp. Hamps online are roughly the same price and oem filters anyway. I don't see a problem with the smaller oem ones.

I used only NAPA gold filters in my R before I stocked up on Hamp filters recently. I chose the golds because they were made by WIX and I had heard good things about them, too.
IIRC, integras and civics all use the same filter. Type R takes the same.

I heard that some Honda dealers still sell the old ones(bigger) for S2000. Don't know if it's true, maybe I should call and ask them if they have the big old filters. I hate the new ones, they are made by Fram, and the quality sucks, I saw there are a lot of small "thingy" around the rubber seal and they fallen off easily, don't know if they will get a way to the engine!! I used the new ones for my beater and save the old one for my R. I just got one more big one left.....
