question about CTR pistons???
based on the info i've researched on honda-tech; ctr pistons will give a b16a a cr of 11.1, is this correct? why the cr of 11.1 and not the b16b's 10.8cr. where does the .3cr increase come from if both motors have the same stroke and bore. waiting to be educated in for my ignorance. thanks!

the ctr piston actually sits a bit higher than other b-series piston. It will
sit slightly above the deck which gives it the extra compression
sit slightly above the deck which gives it the extra compression

Re: question about CTR pistons??? (sgT)
i understand that the piston sits higher but i still don't understand why the piston yields a 11.1cr on the b16a and 10.8cr on the b16b? is there something physically different with the b16b that explains the difference(i know about the b18c block that is used)? here's what i thought, since both motors are 1.6 liter with the same bore and stroke, any piston you put in one should result in the same cr as the other!

the b16b and b18c blocks are the same. so the b16b is just a destroked 1.8. you can put a b18c crank in the b16b and get 1.8 liters with no modifications. b16a and b16b blocks are way different.
