Difference between 97 and 98+ rear bumper?

Default what is the difference between the 97 integra rear bumper and other years?

people have told me that there are significant differences between the 97 rear bumper and the other years.

94-97 are diff from 98-01. just find pics of the two on ebay or something.

The 98-01 rear bumper has a "vent" in the rear bumper. The 94-97 is just smooth all the way down.

yea thats it just a "vent" its actually just a little black plastic insert that looks like a vent...

Yeah, and it's sits lower too. IMO I think it looks a hell of a lot better than the 94-97s.

I don't know why you say that. It's not a black plastic insert. It's a vent, meaning, a wide thin slot that you can poke stuff through.

Here, take a look at a 2001 (and compare with the photo above, where the bumper is solid all the way down to the bottom):

it does look better than 94-97. thats why i changed mine.

i don't think i would say it sits lower though. they look to be about the same except for the 'vent' part on the 98-01 style. it might play a trick on the eyes making it seem lower.
