Default Car STILL won't start...

You guys helped me out a couple weeks ago when I was trying to diagnose what's wrong w/ my car.

When I turn it on it tries to start, just like normal, except it never fires up. Just keeps trying. No clicking or anything...everything sounds like it should.

I replaced the battery, and it fired up but ran crappy and my lights were dim. I had the alternator replaced next. The car ran like a champ when I picked it up, drove it on Friday and let it sit over the weekend. On Monday it wouldn't start again. I thought the battery might be drained, so I took it to AutoZone. They said it's got a full charge. So now I'm stuck. Again.

Any ideas? Should I check the fuses? If so, which ones?

Any ignition related fuses, but check the ignitor, it's likely bad since it's not the charging system.

Where is the ignitor located and is there a way to test it?

The ignitor is internal to the distributer. You will have to take the cap off to get to it IIRC.

Not too sure what the ignitor is, i'm thinking however the problem is disributor related.

have your ICM(ignition control Module) checked and maybe replace your distributor because that is where the control Module is located.... probably malfunctioning.

I checked all the fuses and they are fine. I'm getting spark.

The car started the other day and the CEL light came on during my last test drive. I got the "woooom" sound again right before the car died. Could this be a faulty MAP sensor?

At any rate, I'm gonna try to make it to Autozone so they can check the codes.

If you have spark, it's probably a sensor or fuel issue. I had the same problem with my old Evo, and it turned out to be a broken crank position sensor, but I'm not sure if the ITR has that or not, sorry

I checked the codes. I'm getting a P0132 which is "O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage"

Where do I start as far as trying to fix this?

i dont know about your other thread.
but check the fuses INSIDE the car. i cant remember what it was called. but i know its in there. its a 10 i believe.
there is a fuse that goes bad that runs your alternator and your speedo, its often overlooked but is usually a problem, i have replaced two on different friends cars.

Well, after replacing the primary o2 sensor and the fuel filter, the real problem seems to have revealed itself.

My plugs are gas fouled now, so it seems I'm not getting spark. I ordered a new distributor from distributor king...I'm really hoping this fixes it. I wanna drive my damn car

had that problem for over a year. did many things to it and its not normal yet. i was told by an acura tech that when trying to start the car the rpm gauge should slightly jump. if it doesnt then the ignitor is out. check that out and see what happens
