Get a Helm manuel. Take out cam, valvespring, then head. Replace the bent valve. Get a new head gasket and some hondabond. Put everything back together and torque it to spec.

Dude, take it off and send it to someone who rebuild heads for a living.
Other things could have happened that you may not see. Again MO.
Its an R, not an 89 civic DX. Think about it.

you can only see certain valves that are bent, how about the ones that are so little bent that you don't know until you do a compression test? how about valve guides, are they alright? take it to a machine shop who knows hondas and have them do it. There is a saying at the honda dealership I work at that goes "So you have time to do it twice but not enough time to do it right?"

what makes it so special cause its an "R?" its a cylinder head just like any other. yea, you should send it out to have it checked (maybe bent the other 8, maybe damaged valve guides) but slapping new valves and lapping them in won't hurt anything.
